Coda Octopus Releases GeoSurvey Version 8.0.0

Coda Octopus, a leading provider of underwater technologies, has recently unveiled the latest version of GeoSurvey – Version 8.0.0. This software has been a staple in the industry for over thirty years, offering reliable solutions for geophysical data acquisition and online processing.

GeoSurvey is designed to support a wide range of sidescan sonars and sub-bottom profilers, as well as additional devices like heave sensors, magnetometers, and speed of sound sensors. Some of the standout features of GeoSurvey include:

  • A user-configurable navigation library for recording and displaying crucial information alongside the data.
  • Real-time online processing options such as TVG, frequency filtering, and trace mixing.
  • Compatibility with industry standard formats like XTF, SEG-Y, and the native CODA format.
  • The ability to acquire and display data from multiple sources simultaneously.
  • A user-friendly and stable interface for ease of use.

GeoSurvey not only records raw data but also allows for the generation of processed data files with applied filters and corrections. It seamlessly integrates with the Survey Engine suite of geophysical software, providing access to powerful database-driven mosaicking and interpretation tools, including the AI-driven SEADP automated boulder detection package.

The latest update to GeoSurvey introduces support for the EdgeTech 3400 portable sub-bottom profiling system, expanding the range of digital interfaces compatible with the software. Additionally, by utilizing the DA4G-USB device, GeoSurvey can now acquire data from multiple analogue and digital devices simultaneously.
