Vallourec Secures Major Contract with Allseas for Búzios 10 Offshore Project

French provider of tubular solutions Vallourec has recently announced the signing of a significant contract with Allseas for the supply of line pipes for the Búzios 10 offshore project. This project, located at the Búzios field and operated by Petrobras, is considered one of the world’s largest deepwater fields.

Vallourec will be providing nearly 18,000 tons of subsea seamless premium carbon steel line pipes for the risers and flowlines of the Búzios 10 project, with an additional optional scope of almost 5,000 tons. The company’s Pipe Navigator solution, a digital portal offering access to contractual documentation and project data, is also included in the contract.

The production of the line pipes will take place at Vallourec’s facility in Jeceaba, Minas Gerais, Brazil, showcasing the company’s commitment to local manufacturing and expertise.

Philippe Guillemot, Chairman and CEO of Vallourec, expressed his satisfaction with the contract, stating: “This contract reinforces our strategic positioning in Brazil, a key market for complex offshore projects. It demonstrates our ability to deliver premium tubular solutions fully manufactured in Brazil and validates our investment strategy to enhance industrial performance and meet customer requirements.“

The Búzios field, located off the coast of Rio de Janeiro, is known for being one of the world’s largest deepwater fields. With the addition of five more units expected to commence operations by 2028, the field’s production is set to increase significantly, emphasizing the importance of projects like Búzios 10 in the region.
