Damen Shipyards Cape Town Delivers FCS 3307 Patrol Vessel to Homeland IOSL in Nigeria

Damen Shipyards Cape Town has successfully delivered an FCS 3307 patrol vessel to Homeland Integrated Offshore Service (Homeland IOSL) in Nigeria. This vessel, currently on charter with an international energy company, is set to play a crucial role in offshore patrol duties aimed at enhancing security in Nigerian maritime territories.

This latest delivery marks a significant milestone as it becomes the tenth Damen vessel to join the Homeland fleet, highlighting the company’s ongoing efforts in fleet expansion and modernization.

Advanced Technology and Features

The FCS 3307 Patrol is equipped with Damen’s cutting-edge Sea Axe hull technology, enabling it to navigate through water at high speeds with exceptional safety, stability, and crew comfort. Additionally, this technology offers enhanced maneuverability and fuel efficiency, further optimizing the vessel’s performance.

Furthermore, the vessel boasts a spacious aft deck, facilitating seamless cargo transfer to offshore facilities, thus enhancing operational efficiency.

Custom features of the delivered vessel include ballistic protection in critical areas like the wheelhouse and messroom, ensuring the safety of onboard personnel. Moreover, an electronic fuel monitoring system (EFMS) has been integrated to enable real-time fuel consumption monitoring, thereby promoting fuel efficiency and reduced emissions.

Operational Capabilities

Homeland IOSL’s FCS 3307 Patrol is equipped with essential tools such as a night vision camera and a daughter craft, enhancing its operational capabilities round the clock. These features enable the vessel to effectively carry out its patrol duties and ensure the safety of personnel, assets, and the environment.
