Danos Operations Services Awarded Contract for Beacon Offshore Energy’s Shenandoah Facility

Danos Operations Services has secured a significant contract to provide production services for Beacon Offshore Energy’s latest deepwater venture, the Shenandoah floating production system. This partnership marks a pivotal moment in the offshore energy industry, showcasing the expertise and capabilities of both companies.

Scope of Work

Under the contract, Danos Operations Services will deploy a skilled workforce to manage production operations at the Shenandoah facility. The team will consist of production operators, instrumentation and electrical technicians, mechanics, and offshore installation managers. These professionals bring a wealth of experience and technical know-how to ensure the smooth operation of the platform.

Several employees have already commenced work on the Shenandoah platform, preparing it for production activities. Their dedication and proficiency will play a crucial role in the successful operation of the facility.

Key Features of the Shenandoah Facility

The Shenandoah floating production system is nearing completion, with the final stages of hook-up underway. Once operational, the facility is expected to commence oil production later this summer. With a nameplate capacity of 120,000 barrels of oil per day, the Shenandoah platform will significantly contribute to Beacon Offshore Energy’s production capabilities.

Situated approximately 230 miles from New Orleans, the Shenandoah facility is strategically located to tap into deepwater reserves and maximize production efficiency. Its advanced technology and state-of-the-art infrastructure position it as a key player in the Gulf of Mexico’s offshore energy landscape.

Conclusion

The collaboration between Danos Operations Services and Beacon Offshore Energy heralds a new era of innovation and excellence in the offshore energy sector. With a focus on safety, efficiency, and sustainability, the Shenandoah facility is poised to make a significant impact on the region’s energy production.
