Deep Ocean Search (DOS) Ltd Announces Partnership with Deep Sea Vision (DSV)

Deep Ocean Search (DOS) Ltd has recently unveiled its latest innovation, the Mariner XL ROV, and simultaneously signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Deep Sea Vision (DSV), a prominent US-based deep-water survey company. DSV specializes in utilizing Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) like the Kongsberg Hugin 6000, capable of diving to depths of 6,000 meters, with a proven track record in the deep ocean exploration sector.

By joining forces to cater to mutual clients, DSV and DOS will be able to provide a comprehensive range of AUV and ROV services from a single platform, leveraging the expertise of shared multirole personnel.

The Mariner XL ROV

The Mariner XL is a state-of-the-art WROV that can operate at depths of up to 6,000 meters. This versatile ROV can be rapidly mobilized for deployment anywhere in the world and offers a range of functionalities, including:

  • Launch & Recovery System
  • Ultra-long Range Inertial and Acoustic Positioning System
  • Pilot Station
  • Storage Space

The Mariner XL is housed in just four 20-foot containers, making it highly portable and easy to deploy. No major modifications to the support vessel are required for deployment, and calibration is not necessary. The Argus Mariner XL is a lightweight work-class ROV designed for a variety of deep-sea operations, including inspection, sampling, object recovery, imaging, and data acquisition.
