DeepOcean Extends Charter Agreements with Østensjø Rederi for Three Vessels

Ocean services provider DeepOcean has signed an extension of its charter agreements with Østensjø Rederi for three vessels, further solidifying their longstanding partnership in the maritime industry.

Contract Extension Details

The agreements cover the vessels Edda Freya, Edda Flora, and Edda Fauna, with extensions secured through 2026 for Edda Freya and Edda Flora, and 2027 for Edda Fauna. Moreover, additional options for continued chartering are available for all three vessels.

Strong Partnership

Østensjø Rederi has been a trusted partner of DeepOcean since the company’s inception. The long-standing collaboration underscores the reliability and quality of the vessels under charter.

Enhanced Capabilities

With the recent addition of the subsea vessel Orient Adventurer to its fleet, DeepOcean enhances its operational capacity by utilizing two high-spec vessels equipped with vertical lay systems (VLS). This strategic move enables DeepOcean to undertake more comprehensive work scopes across a wide range of subsea services, from survey to construction to recycling.

Vessel Profiles

Edda Freya, a hybrid-powered construction vessel commissioned in 2016, is tailored for global operations, specializing in offshore construction and intricate maintenance and repair tasks. The vessel’s under-deck carousel also enhances its suitability for cable laying in offshore renewable energy projects.

Edda Flora, DeepOcean’s flagship subsea survey vessel, boasts a proven track record for global operations. On the other hand, Edda Fauna stands out as a reliable IMR vessel in the challenging North Sea environment.

Industry Leadership

DeepOcean maintains a substantial fleet of subsea vessels, with the majority chartered to support a wide array of services in the offshore oil and gas and renewable energy sectors. The company’s extensive fleet underscores its position as a market leader in subsea survey, IMR, installation, and recycling services worldwide.
