DOF Secures Contract Extension for AHTS Vessel

Norwegian offshore vessel owner DOF has announced the successful extension of a contract for one of its anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels.

The contract extension was granted to the 2015-built Skandi Cutter by an undisclosed charterer.

Currently operating in Canada under a contract scheduled to conclude at the end of 2025, the vessel will now continue its services for the existing client under the extended contract. The firm period of the extension is set at three years, with two additional annual extension options.

While specific financial details were not disclosed, DOF categorized the contract as substantial, estimating its value to fall within the range of $25 million to $50 million.

The Skandi Cutter has a history in Canadian waters, having been deployed there immediately after its construction. The vessel joined the DOF fleet following the acquisition of Maersk Supply Service last year.
