Norwegian offshore vessel owner DOF Secures Subsea Mooring Installation Contract in Asia-Pacific

Norwegian offshore vessel owner DOF has recently announced that it has won a contract award for subsea mooring installation services in the Asia-Pacific region. The contract will involve the utilization of the 2010-built construction support vessel (CSV) Skandi Hercules along with related moorings and installation subsea services.

The scope of work for this project includes DOF’s in-house project management and engineering, procurement, and logistics support services. The offshore execution is scheduled to take place in West Australian waters in the third quarter of 2025, with the vessel expected to be engaged in the project for approximately two months.

CEO of DOF, Mons Aase, expressed his optimism about the contract award, stating, “The award secures a substantial backlog for the APAC region in the second half of 2025, and we look forward to delivering a safe and successful project.” Although specific financial details were not disclosed, DOF mentioned that the contract was substantial, indicating a value in the range of $25 million to $50 million.
