Eco Wave Power Global Signs Agreement for Wave Energy Project in Los Angeles

Eco Wave Power Global has recently secured an agreement with C&S Welding, a reputable industrial and maritime contractor based in California, for the installation of its innovative wave energy floaters and energy conversion unit at the Port of Los Angeles.

This partnership signifies a significant milestone as Eco Wave Power prepares to embark on its inaugural onshore wave energy project in the United States. The project’s floaters, fabricated by All-Ways Metal, are scheduled to be fully assembled in the coming week, ensuring that the installation progresses as planned.

Hosted by AltaSea at the Port of LA and supported by Shell’s Marine Renewable Program, the pilot project aims to showcase Eco Wave Power’s patented onshore wave energy technology. By affixing floaters to existing marine structures and connecting them to a land-based conversion unit, wave motion is effectively harnessed to generate clean electricity.

Notably, this system is designed for scalability, requiring minimal maintenance and boasting minimal environmental impact, making it particularly well-suited for port and coastal infrastructure applications.

Commenting on the collaboration, Ian C., President of C&S Welding, expressed enthusiasm for their involvement in this groundbreaking wave energy deployment in the U.S. He emphasized the significance of Eco Wave Power’s technology in advancing clean energy solutions and highlighted the opportunity for local industry to contribute to a more sustainable future.

Inna Braverman, CEO of Eco Wave Power, also shared her excitement about the partnership with C&S Welding, noting that their involvement represents the final operational component of the company’s U.S. expansion strategy. With the floaters ready and a trusted local installer on board, the project is set to proceed swiftly towards installation, marking a significant milestone for the future of wave energy in the United States.
