Singapore’s EPS and FueLNG Complete 300th LNG Bunkering Operation
Singapore’s ship management company Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS) and compatriot FueLNG have achieved a significant milestone by completing their 300th ship-to-ship (STS) LNG bunkering operation. The two companies celebrated this achievement on December 22, 2024, at the Raffles Reserve Anchorage in Singapore.
FueLNG’s bunkering vessel, FueLNG Venosa, delivered 1,628 cubic meters of LNG to EPS’ newest pure car truck carrier (PCTC) Lake Shirasagi, marking the 300th LNG bunkering operation for both companies. EPS has received a total of 1,624,143 cubic meters of LNG since its first bunkering operation four years ago.
Suraj Sundaresan, General Manager (Operations) at EPS, expressed pride in the achievement, stating, “Reaching our 300th LNG bunkering milestone, alongside FueLNG’s 300th LNG STS bunkering in Singapore, is a testament to the progress we are making together towards sustainable shipping. This achievement highlights the collaboration and trust among key stakeholders, reinforcing our collective commitment to the industry’s decarbonisation.”
Last year, FueLNG Venosa participated in EPS’ 100th LNG bunkering operation in Singapore, further solidifying the partnership between the two companies. Notably, the 18,000 cubic meter LNG bunker vessel completed its first bunkering operations with EPS’ 210,000 dwt bulker Mount Tai in June 2023.
In 2024, EPS and FueLNG achieved their 200th LNG bunkering STS operations in May and June respectively, showcasing their dedication to advancing sustainable practices in the maritime industry.
