This move aligns with Vetus’s commitment to sustainability and reducing its environmental impact. As the marine industry continues to evolve in response to climate change and environmental concerns, Vetus is positioning itself as a leader in green technology and solutions.

Looking ahead, Vetus remains focused on innovation, sustainability, and meeting the evolving needs of its customers. With a strong foundation in place and a commitment to growth and development, the company is poised to continue driving forward in the marine industry for many years to come.

Decreasing emissions by up to 90 per cent with Vetus Technology

Vetus, a leader in marine technology, is revolutionizing the boating industry with its innovative solutions that not only enhance performance but also reduce emissions significantly. According to Vetus CEO, Fabian Gesink, their High Vegetable Oil (HVO) technology can decrease emissions by up to 90 per cent, making it a direct replacement for fossil diesels in any certified Vetus engine.

Gesink further explains, “Vetus technology supports new monitoring capabilities that are set to be a key enabler in the more widespread adoption of electric boats. The Vetus CANNME7 multifunction display, in combination with the digital battery monitoring shunt (CANNS500), provide a much more accurate idea of remaining battery percentage charge and therefore usable range.”

Real-time range information plays a crucial role in modifying throttle behavior, as skippers can adjust their speed to optimize battery usage and extend their range.

Vetus and Industry Partnerships

Vetus is not only focusing on its own innovations but also collaborating with industry partners to deliver integrated solutions for boat handling and maneuvering. One of their significant partnerships is with Honda Marine and Ultraflex, where they have introduced a connected solution that integrates outboard engines, steering, and the Vetus Bow Pro thruster system, all controlled through a joystick.

Key partnerships with Mercury Marine, Yamaha, and Yanmar have also been established to enhance boat handling capabilities through integrated systems. Vetus is continuously striving to improve boat maneuverability and efficiency through these collaborations.

With new facilities, increased warehouse capacity, and a promise of more products in 2025, Vetus is gearing up for a new era of innovation and sustainability in the marine industry.

Overall, Vetus is leading the way in reducing emissions and improving boat handling through its cutting-edge technology and strategic partnerships. The future looks promising for Vetus as they continue to drive innovation and sustainability in the marine industry.
