Investment Group Eurazeo Invests $73.1 Million in Offshore Wind Service Vessels

Investment group Eurazeo has recently announced a $73.1 million investment in MPC OSE Offshore, a joint venture between MPC Capital and O.S. Energy, aimed at building and managing new service operations vessels (SOVs) for offshore wind farms. This strategic investment is part of Eurazeo Transition Infrastructure Fund’s (ETIF) sustainable investment strategy focused on transitioning essential infrastructure to a low-carbon economy.

This investment marks the seventh for ETIF, enabling participation in the growth and development of the European offshore wind sector. The initiative has received backing from the European Union through the InvestEU Fund, highlighting its importance in advancing sustainable energy solutions.

The partnership between MPC Capital and O.S. This collaboration brings together expertise and resources to address the evolving needs of the offshore renewable energy industry.

Constantin Baack, CEO of MPC Capital, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration with Eurazeo and other reputable investors, emphasizing the unique investment platform created to support the growing offshore renewable energy market. He anticipates a successful partnership that will drive innovation and excellence in servicing the industry.

Martin Sichelkow, Partner and Co-Head Infrastructure at Eurazeo, highlighted the significance of investing in MPC OSE Offshore as a pivotal player in the European offshore renewable energy sector.
