Exail Secures First Sale of Gaps M3 Compact USBL System

Exail, a leading provider of underwater positioning systems, has announced the successful sale of its Gaps M3 compact USBL (Ultra-Short Baseline) system to a major offshore construction group in Asia. This marks a significant milestone for Exail as it expands its presence in the offshore industry.

Precision Positioning for Subsea Cable Laying

The Gaps M3 system will be utilized in a subsea cable laying project, where precise underwater positioning is crucial in a dynamic coastal environment. By integrating with the vessel’s existing attitude and heading reference system, the Gaps M3 offers the same high level of accuracy as Exail’s premium USBL models, but at a more cost-effective price point.

Cost-Effective Solution for Coastal and Nearshore Projects

Designed for both permanent installations and ad-hoc deployments, the Gaps M3 is well-suited for coastal and nearshore projects where space, budget, and operational flexibility are key considerations. Its ability to track targets at high elevations makes it ideal for dynamic offshore operations such as subsea cable laying, pipeline installation, and marine construction.

Enhancing Operational Efficiency

By choosing the Gaps M3 system, the offshore construction group in Asia is poised to enhance its operational efficiency and accuracy in subsea positioning. The system’s ease of installation and user-friendly interface make it a valuable asset for projects requiring precise underwater navigation.

Overall, the sale of the Gaps M3 system represents a significant step forward for Exail in the offshore industry, showcasing the company’s commitment to delivering innovative and cost-effective solutions for underwater positioning challenges.
