Forum Energy Technologies to Provide ROVs to CCC (UE)
The Forum Energy Technologies (FET) Subsea product line has been awarded a contract to supply two work class remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) to CCC (Underwater Engineering) S.A.L (CCC (UE)), a prominent offshore construction company based in the UAE.
These FET Perry XLX-C 3000m ROV systems will be utilized for a variety of underwater operations including construction, drill support, pipeline and platform inspection, survey, salvage, and cleaning services. The first ROV is expected to be delivered in November 2025, followed by the second unit in June 2026.
The XLX-C ROV boasts enhanced performance capabilities suitable for a wide range of challenging intervention and survey tasks while ensuring reliability. With a compact design yet powerful features such as 200hp, 3000kg through-frame lift capacity, and advanced hydraulic tooling capabilities, the XLX-C is equipped with the ICE® Unity control system for high-precision auto functions and dynamic positioning, making it an ideal choice for demanding subsea operations.
CCC (UE) specializes in providing comprehensive offshore solutions globally, offering services such as inspection, repair, and subsea asset installation.
Manufactured at FET’s UK facility in Kirkbymoorside, North Yorkshire, UK, the two ROVs will come equipped with a Type 5C Top Hat Tether Management System and a 3300-meter umbilical. FET’s ROVs are utilized worldwide across various industries including defense, energy, telecommunications, mining, aquaculture, and academia.
