The Italian Sea Group launches first hull of Admiral Armani superyacht series

The Italian Sea Group has launched the first hull of its new Admiral Armani superyacht series, a result of its design collaboration with Giorgio Armani.

The yacht was unveiled at the company’s Marina di Carrara headquarters in Italy, with a launch ceremony attended by the owner’s team, Armani Group representatives, local officials, and members of The Italian Sea Group team involved in the yacht’s construction.

This 72m vessel is the first of two yachts entirely designed by Giorgio Armani. The project, known as Project Metamorphosis, was initiated in 2020 and developed by Giorgio Armani and his team in collaboration with the style center of Admiral – a brand of The Italian Sea Group.

The Admiral Armani 72m superyacht boasts an ice-class hull, a main deck with six cabins, and a range of 6,000 nautical miles.

The yacht was originally intended to be presented at the 2024 Monaco Yacht Show but faced delays due to additional upgrades requested by the new owner following a resale in May 2024. The in-build yacht had an asking price of €105m.

The project aims to blend minimalist aesthetics with advanced technologies, featuring geometric volumes against curved surfaces in the exterior design. The use of satin aluminum and steel detailing creates visual reflections on the golden exterior, while floor-to-ceiling windows connect the interior spaces with the sea views.

The upper decks of the Admiral Armani 72m superyacht offer open terraces, including a lounge area and a helicopter landing zone. The interior elements, designed by the Armani/Casa studio, feature materials like Black Marquinia marble, golden Calacatta, Canaletto walnut, mirrored surfaces, custom lighting, and fabrics.

Giovanni Costantino, founder and CEO of The Italian Sea Group, describes the yacht as a blend of Giorgio Armani’s elegance and the group’s technical excellence, creating a vessel that sails the seas with grace.

The Admiral Armani 72m superyacht is set to debut at the Monaco Yacht Show 2025, scheduled from 24 to 27 September in Port Hercule.
