Floatel International Secures Contract for North Sea Operations

Oslo-based offshore accommodation vessel specialist Floatel International has been awarded a contract for operations in the North Sea.

The contract has been awarded to the 2010-built Floatel Superior following a letter of intent. The client’s identity has not been disclosed.

Operations under the contract are scheduled to take place in the North Sea during the summer of 2026. The initial contract duration is three months with an additional one-month extension option.

The availability of the extension period will be contingent on the commencement date of the Aker BP Yggdrasil charter.

In December 2022, the Floatel Superior and the 2015-built Floatel Endurance were contracted for work on the NOAKA project, now known as Yggdrasil.

Floatel International previously announced that both vessels are set to commence accommodation services in mid-2026, with confirmed hire periods of seven and ten months, respectively. The agreement also includes multiple extension options.
