Floatel International Secures New Contract for Offshore Accommodation Vessel in Australia
Floatel International, a prominent Norwegian offshore accommodation provider, has recently announced the acquisition of a new contract for a semi-submersible accommodation vessel operating off the coast of Australia.
The contract, which spans a period of 35 days with an option for extension, is set to commence in the fourth quarter of 2026. The vessel in question, Floatel Triumph, is a 2016-built unit that offers accommodation for up to 560 individuals and is equipped with advanced dynamic positioning systems.
Following the conversion of a letter of intent into a firm contract earlier this year for the same vessel, this latest development solidifies Floatel International’s foothold in the Australian offshore accommodation sector. The company’s commitment to delivering high-quality services to its clients is underscored by this new agreement.
Floatel International’s portfolio also includes other vessels such as Floatel Victory and Floatel Superior, both of which have seen successful conversions of letters of intent into firm contracts. The company’s total contract backlog, excluding options, stands at approximately $391 million as of the end of March 2025.
In addition to the recent contract wins, Floatel International has been actively managing its fleet, with the sale of Floatel Reliance and the extension of Floatel Victory’s contract with Equinor at Peregrino until the end of 2025. The company’s dedication to operational excellence and client satisfaction is evident in its ongoing efforts to optimize its vessel utilization and service offerings.
With a strong presence in the offshore accommodation sector and a proven track record of delivering reliable and efficient services, Floatel International continues to be a key player in the industry. The company’s strategic partnerships and commitment to innovation position it well for sustained growth and success in the years to come.
