Falmouth Scientific, Inc. Launches AquaStack Acoustic Multi-Spectrum Source for Marine Surveys

Falmouth Scientific, Inc. (FSI) has introduced the AquaStack Acoustic Multi-Spectrum Source (AMS), the newest addition to FSI’s AquaPulse series designed for seismic, sub-bottom, and 3DUHR survey applications. Developed with patented technology by Fred Hegg and Joe Sparks, AquaStack offers a unique capability to switch its output spectrum on the fly, allowing operators to choose between lower frequency modes for deeper penetration in challenging geological formations or standard frequencies for higher resolution imaging—all from a single source.

Key features of AquaStack include:

  • Dual AquaPulse Acoustic Sources for exceptional signal repeatability
  • On-the-fly frequency spectrum switching for tailored acoustic spectrums
  • Enhanced versatility to meet the evolving needs of marine geophysics and underwater acoustic survey professionals

AquaStack provides a cost-effective solution for capturing high-resolution seismic data and detailed sub-bottom images. Its innovative design simplifies shipboard integration requirements while maximizing survey performance in diverse underwater environments.

Available in double stacked configurations including 18-inch Standard Displacement (SD), 18-inch High Displacement (HD), 36-inch Standard Displacement (SD), and 36-inch High Displacement (HD), AquaStack offers options for varying survey needs. The 36-inch models, weighing 350 kg, deliver higher power and lower frequency compared to the portable 18-inch 55 kg models, with HD models providing longer wavelengths for lower frequency output.

Don’t miss the opportunity to explore AquaStack and other innovative solutions from FSI at Ocean Business booth W86.
