Fugro Secures Survey Contracts for Major Projects in the UAE

Fugro has secured multiple survey contracts in the United Arab Emirates tied to two of the region’s largest field development programmes. The work, starting this August, covers both offshore and onshore scopes. The company will deploy its full range of services, including geophysical and geotechnical surveys, uncrewed surface vessels (USVs), environmental studies, and its GroundIQ remote data technology, to support front-end engineering design (FEED) for pipeline, cable, and offshore infrastructure development.

The Netherlands-based group said the surveys will also support the construction of artificial islands and offshore structures. Annabelle Vos, group director for the Middle East and India, said the awards mark another step in Fugro’s long-standing presence in the Gulf region, adding that the company’s local expertise, combined with its global technology leadership, “will help deliver safe, efficient, and sustainable outcomes” for the undisclosed client.
