Global Underwater Hub Appoints Steve Wisely to Strengthen Board

Global Underwater Hub (GUH) has recently announced the appointment of Steve Wisely to its board, further enhancing the leadership of the trade and development body that represents the country’s booming underwater industry, valued at USD$12.39 billion (£9.2 billion).

Steve Wisely, currently serving as Senior Vice President at Subsea7, brings over 30 years of experience in the offshore energy sector to GUH. Throughout his career, Steve has held various key roles in commercial, contractual, and tendering functions across the UK, Norway, and Singapore.

One of Steve’s primary responsibilities at GUH will be to lead the newly established contractor leadership forum, set to launch later this year. The forum aims to foster collaboration between major underwater contracting firms and the supply chain, with a specific focus on addressing the technical challenges faced by operators and developers.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the new role, Steve Wisely stated, “I am pleased to join the GUH board and especially looking forward to heading up the contractor leadership forum. Contractor firms represent significant investment opportunities in the UK, and it is crucial to work closely with the supply chain to effectively tackle industry challenges.”

Steve emphasized the importance of collaboration between contractors and the supply chain in developing innovative solutions to support the industry. The forum will serve as a platform for valuable insights and discussions on technical issues, ultimately driving the industry forward through collective efforts.
