Green Marine Expands Capabilities with Acquisition of ROVs and Survey Equipment

Green Marine (UK) Ltd, a leading provider of integrated marine services to the renewable energy and offshore sectors, has recently completed the acquisition of ROVs (Remotely Operated Vehicles), Survey Equipment, Vessel, Personnel & Contract Agreements from Orkney-based Roving Eye Enterprises Ltd.

Enhanced Operational Versatility

This strategic move signifies a significant expansion for Green Marine, enhancing its operational versatility and solidifying its position as a go-to contractor in the Aquaculture, Marine Energy, Offshore Cable, and Marine Construction sectors. The acquisition enables Green Marine to provide subsea surveys and inspections in UK and European waters with greater efficiency and precision.

Complementary Assets

The acquired assets include a range of ROVs and specialized survey equipment that complement Green Marine’s existing suite of cutting-edge subsea technology and high-performance ROVs. These additions extend the company’s operational reach, improve data quality, and enhance subsea intervention capabilities. The addition of the multi-purpose catamaran Athenia further enhances Green Marine’s fleet, making it an ideal platform for survey and ROV operations in Aquaculture and inshore environments.

Continuity and Growth

Green Marine’s acquisition also includes a portfolio of call-off agreements, contracts, trading name, and associated goodwill, strengthening its presence in the marine survey market. This acquisition ensures continuity for Roving Eye’s customers while bolstering Green Marine’s reputation as a trusted marine services provider.

Seamless Integration

The newly acquired assets will be rebranded and integrated into Green Marine’s operations, with plans for upgrades to further enhance its subsea survey capabilities. Already, Green Marine has successfully completed a pipeline survey contract using a combination of Roving Eye and Green Marine assets and personnel, delivering pipeline ROV inspections and structural visual surveys seamlessly.
