HydroSurv Partners with WASSP Multibeam to Deliver Innovative Uncrewed Surface Vessel
HydroSurv, in partnership with WASSP Multibeam from Furuno UK, has recently announced the successful delivery of a cutting-edge REAV-28 Uncrewed Surface Vessel (USV) equipped with a WASSP multibeam echosounder system to Foyle Marine & Dredging.
This state-of-the-art system is specifically designed for bathymetric surveying in marine construction and dredging applications.
The REAV-28 is a remotely operated uncrewed vessel that has been integrated with the WASSP multibeam echosounder technology and seamlessly incorporated into the EIVA Kuda Core survey software.
David Hull, Founder & CEO of HydroSurv, highlighted the significance of this partnership, stating, “We’ve observed a growing demand from marine service operators for a solution that bridges the gap between traditional single-beam echo sounders and high-end multibeam systems.
“By collaborating with WASSP, we have been able to provide the team at Foyle Marine & Dredging with a powerful tool that will significantly reduce the costs associated with repeated surveys in their construction and dredging projects.”
Foyle Marine & Dredging, renowned for their expertise in marine construction operations across the UK and Ireland, is set to leverage this innovative platform in their upcoming projects in the following weeks.
This groundbreaking collaboration between HydroSurv and WASSP Multibeam represents a leap forward in the realm of unmanned surveying vessels, offering enhanced efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness for marine construction and dredging operations.
