IBEX Appoints Kate Donadio as Director of Marketing and Communications
IBEX, the International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition and Conference, has appointed Kate Donadio as its new director of marketing and communications. She takes on the role at North America’s largest marine trade show and conference, with responsibility for leading the event’s marketing and outreach activity.
Donadio was most recently marketing manager at Suzuki Marine USA, where she oversaw national campaigns, media relations and dealer communications, and developed community engagement programmes. She has more than 10 years of experience in marketing, consulting and brand development across industries, including marine, sustainability, hospitality and nonprofit.
She is also co-founder of Dolomites Consulting Group, where she has led strategic projects for marine sector clients, including Hussar Yachts, as well as for brands in other sectors.
“We’re thrilled to have Kate on board,” said Mary Velline, IBEX show director. “Her industry experience and strategic mindset are exactly what we need as we continue to grow and evolve. She understands the needs of our exhibitors and attendees and brings the energy and insight to strengthen how we connect with our audience across all channels.”
“I’ve experienced IBEX from multiple vantage points over the years, on the floor supporting clients and behind the scenes with a major OEM,” says Donadio. “Now, I’m proud to help lead the next chapter with a focus on growth, innovation and deeper engagement across the entire marine industry.”
This year’s IBEX event is scheduled to take place from 7 to 9 October at the Tampa Convention Center. The event attracts thousands of marine professionals from around the world. The 2025 show will carry the theme ‘Fast Forward’, which aims to encourage innovation and new business connections across the sector.
Visitor registration for IBEX 2025 is open now.
