Klein Marine Systems Enhances Micro AUV Platform with High-Resolution Sonar Systems

Klein Marine Systems, a leader in advanced sonar technology, recently acquired 20 high-resolution 900kHz side scan sonar systems from French Company RTsys for integration onto their innovative micro AUV platform, NEMOSENS.

The NemoSens® micro AUV, renowned for its compact design and exceptional performance, has already been outfitted with Klein’s side scan sonar systems and delivered to a diverse range of end users in both civil and defense sectors worldwide. These 900kHz sonar units are specifically designed to deliver superior imaging quality and reliability, enabling precise seabed mapping and object detection for micro AUV operations in challenging underwater environments.

The incorporation of these 20 advanced side scan sonar units is poised to enhance the AUV’s data collection capabilities significantly, facilitating improved environmental monitoring, archaeological surveys, and offshore infrastructure inspections.
