Kongsberg Discovery Set to Make Waves at Ocean Business 2025

Kongsberg Discovery is gearing up to make a splash at Ocean Business 2025, with high profile product demonstrations, a new digital innovation launch, and a range of domain experts on hand to help stakeholders navigate a future of ocean opportunity. The company will be showcasing its latest technologies and solutions at booth N1/P2 during the event, scheduled to take place from April 8-10, 2025, at the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton, UK.

Exciting Demonstrations and Collaborations

Throughout the event, Kongsberg Discovery will conduct live demonstrations to highlight the capabilities of its cutting-edge marine technology. Visitors can expect to see the EM2042 Multibeam Echosounder and Seapath 385 GNSS aided inertial navigation system in action onboard the Fugro FTV Xplorer vessel. Additionally, dockside demos featuring the Flexview multibeam sonar on a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) will showcase underwater infrastructure inspection and gas seep detection capabilities.

One of the highlights of the event will be the collaboration between Kongsberg Discovery and Saildrone, where attendees will witness a real-time demonstration of a Saildrone Surveyor unmanned surface vessel equipped with EM304 MKII sensors and software for deep-water multibeam survey operations.

Empowering Remote Survey Operations

Participants will have the opportunity to experience firsthand the lightweight, robust, and powerful EM 2042 multibeam echosounder, paired with the high-precision Seapath 385 system designed for challenging hydrographic surveying tasks. The Flexview demonstration will showcase the compact multibeam sonar technology’s effectiveness in infrastructure inspection and gas seep detection.

For those interested in remote survey operations, the Saildrone sessions will provide insights into how Kongsberg Discovery’s advanced sensors and software can enable efficient, safe, and high-quality autonomous surveying in deep-water environments.
