Kongsberg Maritime and Noble Corporation Sign Development Program Agreement for Advanced Marine Technologies

Kongsberg Maritime has recently announced the signing of a development program framework agreement with Noble Corporation, a significant milestone in the collaboration between the two companies to advance marine technologies for the offshore drilling sector.

This long-term strategic partnership aims to jointly develop, pilot, and commercialize innovative solutions that will improve operational efficiency, risk assessment, and sustainability in offshore operations. The first pilot project under this agreement is scheduled to commence later in 2025 on the drillship Noble Sam Croft, paving the way for a series of collaborative development programs.

By combining Kongsberg Maritime’s cutting-edge marine technology portfolio with Noble’s extensive operational experience and modern fleet of 21 floaters, the partnership is poised to accelerate innovation cycles and deliver user-centric solutions that create new value for offshore operators.

Jouni Raatikainen, Executive Vice President Global Customer Support at Kongsberg Maritime, expressed enthusiasm about the agreement, stating, “This partnership with Noble demonstrates our dedication to being a trusted energy transition partner. By collaborating with forward-thinking companies like Noble, we can develop technologies that not only enhance performance and safety but also contribute to the industry’s broader sustainability objectives.”

Raatikainen added, “Noble’s progressive approach and willingness to embrace innovation make them an ideal partner for this ambitious journey.”
