Kystdesign Secures Contract for Work Class ROVs

Engineering firm Kystdesign has recently announced the signing of a significant contract for the supply of four work class remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and accompanying equipment, marking its largest order to date.

The undisclosed client has commissioned Kystdesign for the delivery of four Work Class ROVs, including Constructor and Constructor Compact models, as well as Launch and Recovery systems (LARS), Remote Operating Centres (ROC), spare parts, and additional equipment. These comprehensive ROV solutions will be utilized to support two Construction Support Vessels (CSVs) in the client’s fleet.

The four Work Class ROV spreads, along with LARS and ROCs, are expected to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2025. Olafur Gislason, Sales and Business Development Manager at Kystdesign, expressed his pride in securing this historic contract and emphasized the company’s commitment to meeting the complex manufacturing requirements within a tight timeline.

“This partnership signifies a significant milestone for Kystdesign in terms of both value and trust from the client. We are eager to embark on this challenging project and anticipate a fruitful long-term collaboration. This contract not only propels our growth but also solidifies our position in the global subsea industry,” said Gislason.

With a focus on innovation and excellence, Kystdesign is poised to expand its market presence and seize new opportunities in the evolving underwater technology sector. The company’s dedication to delivering high-quality ROV solutions underscores its commitment to exceeding client expectations and driving industry advancements.
