MacGregor to Deliver 100T AHC Crane for Jana Marine’s Dive Support Vessel

MacGregor, part of Cargotec, has secured a contract to supply a 100T Active Heave Compensated (AHC) crane for a dive support vessel operated by Jana Marine Service Company.

The crane is set to be delivered to the Guangzhou Salvage shipyard in the second quarter of 2026, with the vessel expected to be completed later the same year.

MacGregor’s local sales team will collaborate closely with Guangzhou Salvage throughout the project to ensure seamless integration of the crane into the vessel and to optimize its performance.

Senior Vice President of Offshore Solutions at MacGregor, Pasi Lehtonen, expressed confidence in the 100T AHC crane, stating that it offers superior performance and reliability, meeting the customer’s requirements and surpassing expectations.

The contract for the crane was finalized in the fourth quarter of 2024; however, it is not included in Cargotec’s orders received, as MacGregor is now considered part of discontinued operations.

In a strategic move announced in November 2024, Cargotec revealed its intention to sell MacGregor, its cargo handling business, to European private equity firm Triton in a deal valued at $506 million, inclusive of debt.
