Med Marine Set to Expand its Fleet with the Launch of the MED-A2360 Tugboat

Introducing the MED-A2360 Tugboat: A New Standard in Maritime Excellence

MED-A2360 tugboat was recently launched on December 5, 2024, at ERE?L? SHIPYARD. This latest addition to the MED MARINE fleet is set to redefine industry standards with its exceptional performance and reliability. Designed with advanced craftsmanship and expertise, the MED-A2360 is poised to meet the evolving needs of the maritime sector.

Measuring 23 meters in length and boasting a remarkable 65-ton bollard pull, the MED-A2360 is a powerhouse on the water. Built to meet Class FIFI-1 standards, this versatile RAmparts 2300-W series tug is equipped with both forward and aft winches, making it ideal for a wide range of operations including ship handling, towing, pushing, mooring, and firefighting. Its aft towing hook further enhances operational efficiency, ensuring top-notch performance across various maritime applications.

Powered by an azimuth stern drive system, the MED-A2360 features two diesel engines connected to Z-drive units and fixed pitch propellers with high-efficiency nozzles for optimal bollard pull. Constructed with welded steel, this tug includes watertight bulkheads that divide key compartments such as the engine room, accommodation, and fuel tanks, ensuring durability and safety.
