ZTT Submarine Cable & System Secures Contract for Shenzhen Energy’s Offshore Wind Project

ZTT Submarine Cable & System (ZTTSC) has recently announced that they have secured a significant contract for the construction of a 500 kV submarine cable for Shenzhen Energy’s 500 MW Honghai Bay VI offshore wind project in China.

The contract involves the engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) of 94 kilometers of 500 kV 3-core HVAC submarine cables to connect the offshore wind turbines, which will be situated more than 30 kilometers offshore. The delivery of the cables is scheduled for February 2026.

ZTTSC stated that this project will set a new benchmark for deployment and will contribute to advancing China’s next-generation offshore energy infrastructure. The Honghai Bay VI offshore wind farm, with a capacity of 500 MW, is slated to be constructed in the southern sea area of Honghai Bay Development Zone, Shanwei City, Guangdong Province, within a 62-square-kilometer area.

Expanding Presence in Offshore Wind Sector

Aside from the recent contract for the Honghai Bay VI project, ZTT Group has also been awarded a contract for the supply of submarine cables for the Yangjiang Fanshi II offshore wind farm in China. This 1 GW project is being developed by China’s CGN Wind Energy Limited, further solidifying ZTT’s presence in the offshore wind sector in the country.
