PSA International, DNV Singapore, and PIL Partner to Advance Sustainability in Maritime and Logistics

PSA International, DNV Singapore, and Pacific International Lines (PIL) have joined forces to drive greener supply chains and accelerate decarbonization in the maritime and logistics sectors. The trio recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate on carbon emission measurement, reporting, and verification (MRV) while developing sustainable solutions to combat climate change.

Collaborative Efforts for a Sustainable Future

Under the MoU, PSA will utilize its extensive global network of ports and logistics solutions to partner with PIL, a prominent carrier with a wide-reaching presence across multiple continents. The collaboration will also involve leveraging DNV’s digital solutions to establish a robust data ecosystem for digital assurance within the maritime industry.

Together, the partners aim to expedite the adoption of low-carbon technologies and solutions to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of global trade flows.

Quotes from Key Stakeholders

Eddy Ng, PSA Group’s Head of Operations and Sustainability, emphasized the importance of collaboration and innovation in driving sustainable transformation within the industry. He believes that the partnership with DNV and PIL will pave the way for a greener maritime sector.

Antony M DSouza, Senior Vice President and Regional Manager at DNV Maritime, highlighted the need for collaboration and digital innovation to achieve meaningful sustainability in the maritime industry. He expressed commitment to developing robust MRV capabilities to accelerate the transition to greener supply chains.

Lionel Patrice Chatelet, Chief Commercial Officer at PIL, outlined the goal of developing a model for tracking and verifying GHG emissions reductions in supply chains. The partnership aims to drive sustainable decarbonization through digital processes and enhanced data transparency.
