New Fortress Energy Signs Three-Year Charter Agreement for FSRU in Dominican Republic
U.S. energy company New Fortress Energy (NFE) has recently announced the execution of a three-year charter agreement for the Energos Freeze floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) with Energía 2000 in the Dominican Republic.
The agreement entails the deployment of the 125,000 m3 Energos Freeze FSRU to Energía 2000 S.A.’s LNG import terminal situated at the port of Pepillo Salcedo (Manzanillo).
Expected to commence operations in September 2025, the FSRU will play a crucial role in providing LNG regasification services to support power generation and industrial energy demand throughout the region.
