Pritchard-Gordon Group Launches PG Renewables for Offshore UXO Identification and Clearance Services

The Pritchard-Gordon group of companies has recently unveiled PG Renewables, a specialized turnkey contractor offering offshore and nearshore Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) identification and clearance services tailored for the marine energy and offshore wind sectors.

PG Renewables will initially concentrate on meeting the UXO identification, relocation, and disposal service requirements of developers and their supply chains in the U.K. and Europe, with a primary focus on offshore wind and marine energy industries.

One of the key strengths of PG Renewables lies in its exclusive partnership with UXO and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) solutions provider, EORCA UK. This collaboration enables clients to access a wide range of EOD equipment and benefit from the expertise of highly skilled EOD supervisors, technicians, and divers.

Henry Keane, director at PG Renewables, expressed his enthusiasm about the launch, stating, “We are excited to officially announce the launch of PG Renewables. With this addition to our portfolio in the offshore wind and marine renewables market, we are continuing our commitment to supporting the energy transition while safeguarding the marine environment.”

He further highlighted the successful track record of the PG Renewables team in the UXO space, citing the completion of over 10 wind farm projects and five subsea infrastructure projects without incident.

Adrian Dann, owner of EORCA UK and Technical Authority for EOD at PG Renewables, also shared his excitement about joining the team, emphasizing his past experience in mitigating nearly 2000 pieces of UXO using innovative techniques in the UK, Europe, and the USA. He believes that the formation of PG Renewables will enable them to support clients in development projects and unplanned interventions efficiently.
