French Seismic Company Viridien Enhances ONGC’s Operations with Sercel Marlin Offshore Logistics Solution

French seismic company Viridien has recently announced the sale of its cutting-edge Sercel Marlin Offshore Logistics management solution to Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) in India. This strategic move aims to boost operational efficiency and safety across ONGC’s Western offshore exploration and production (E&P) operations.

The sale includes a comprehensive five-year contract that will provide ONGC with dedicated on-premises Sercel software and support services. The implementation of the Sercel Marlin Offshore Logistics solution is poised to revolutionize ONGC’s offshore E&P logistics by digitizing and streamlining operations, enhancing real-time vessel tracking, optimizing operational planning, and managing helicopter transit effectively.

One of the key highlights of this solution is its seamless integration with ONGC’s existing ERP systems, ensuring efficient data exchange and informed decision-making processes. Moreover, the advanced artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) algorithms embedded in the Marlin solution will future-proof ONGC’s operations, further enhancing operational efficiency and planning.

By leveraging Viridien’s state-of-the-art technology, ONGC aims to achieve business excellence and advance its carbon neutrality objectives. Jérôme Denigot, EVP of Sensing & Monitoring at Viridien, expressed pride in supporting ONGC’s digitalization strategy with the Sercel Marlin Offshore Logistics solution. He highlighted the solution’s flexibility, tailored for both cloud-based and on-premises deployment, to accommodate diverse infrastructure needs.

This collaboration not only marks Viridien’s expansion in India’s offshore energy sector but also sets the stage for future growth opportunities for its Sercel software solutions in the region. The partnership between Viridien and ONGC signifies a commitment to innovation, efficiency, and sustainability in the offshore E&P industry.
