Fengmiao I Offshore Wind Farm Reaches Financial Close

Fengmiao I, a 495 MW offshore wind farm, has successfully reached a financial close. The project is owned by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) through its fund Copenhagen Infrastructure V (CI V).

PEAK Wind, a leading offshore wind farm operator, has entered into an Operations Management Agreement (OMA) to oversee the operations of Fengmiao I. The OMA aims to ensure efficient and reliable performance as the project progresses, with a strong focus on operational management and building a robust Taiwan Operations setup.

Project Details

Fengmiao I offshore wind farm is situated approximately 35 km off the coast of Taichung, central Taiwan. It is the first offshore wind project in Taiwan supported by corporate offtakers and will supply clean energy to large energy users across the country, significantly contributing to Taiwan’s renewable energy goals.

The wind farm will consist of 33 turbines, each with a capacity of 15 MW, supported by an offshore substation to ensure efficient operations. Construction is scheduled for completion by the end of 2027.

PEAK Wind’s Growing Portfolio

Fengmiao I (FM1) adds to PEAK Wind’s expanding global portfolio, solidifying its position as one of the largest independent offshore wind farm operators worldwide. With a total wind farm portfolio under management of 2.6 GW, including significant capacity in Taiwan, North America, and Europe, PEAK Wind continues to play a key role in driving the growth of renewable energy.
