Petrobras Launches Tender for Platform Supply Vessels

Brazilian state-owned oil and gas giant Petrobras has recently announced a tender for the acquisition of up to six platform supply vessels to support its offshore operations.

According to Rio de Janeiro-based offshore brokerage WSB Advisors, the tender was launched under an SEP format, known for limited public disclosure.

The vessels will play a crucial role in Petrobras’ hydrocarbon exploration and production activities, with selection based on the lowest total price offered. Interested parties have until May 6 to submit their proposals, with a contract duration of 1,460 days.

The tender is divided into two lots – the first lot comprising up to four general cargo PSVs, and the second lot for up to two multipurpose or fluid PSVs.

Operations are expected to commence in January 2026 or 180 days after contract signing, depending on the later occurrence.
