Prosafe Secures Four-Year Contract with Petrobras for Safe Notos

Oslo-listed semisub accommodation vessel owner Prosafe has successfully won a tender for a four-year contract for one of its flotels by Brazilian state-owned oil and gas giant Petrobras.

The company has been selected to provide its 2016-built Safe Notos flotel to offer safety and maintenance support offshore Brazil. Prosafe has clarified that the contract award and timing are subject to a formal process, during which Petrobras is not under any formal obligation to conclude a contract.

If finalized, the agreement entails a firm period commitment of four years, with operations set to commence in September 2026. This closely follows the conclusion of the floatel’s current contract, which began in the third quarter of 2022. The total value of the contract stands at approximately $204 million.

The Safe Notos vessel is designed to operate in harsh environments and can accommodate up to 500 personnel, making it a crucial asset for Petrobras’ offshore operations in Brazil.
