Reach Subsea Completes Subsea Inspection Campaign for TotalEnergies

Reach Subsea has successfully wrapped up a subsea inspection campaign for TotalEnergies in the Skirne, Byggve, and Atla fields located on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The project was executed utilizing Reach Remote 1, an unmanned surface vessel equipped with an electric ROV.

The comprehensive annual inspection encompassed subsea production systems and Xmas trees, involving integrity checks, assessment of anode status, and seabed condition surveys. Furthermore, extended survey work was conducted to facilitate preparations for an upcoming decommissioning campaign.

Project Manager at Reach Subsea, Nick Herrington, expressed his satisfaction with the project, stating, “Using Reach Remote 1 enabled us to carry out the inspection safely and efficiently, while showcasing the potential of unmanned offshore operations. It is truly gratifying to reach this milestone in collaboration with TotalEnergies.”

This successful subsea inspection campaign underscores the effectiveness and reliability of unmanned surface vessels equipped with cutting-edge technology in the offshore industry. Reach Subsea’s expertise and innovative approach have once again proven instrumental in delivering high-quality services to clients.
