Saab UK Delivers 600th Seaeye Falcon ROV to DISA International

Saab UK has reached a significant milestone by delivering its 600th Seaeye Falcon remotely operated vehicle (ROV) to international subsea specialist DISA International. The ROV was produced in Fareham and is set to enhance DISA’s high-performance inspection and survey operations across Europe.

The newly delivered Falcon has already started working on offshore wind energy operations in Germany, conducting balance of plant inspections and general visual inspections (GVI). It will soon be deployed to projects in the Netherlands and Belgium, where it will play a crucial role in offshore inspections and measurement tasks.

This latest addition brings DISA’s fleet of Saab Seaeye vehicles to eight, including the Panther XT Plus, Cougar, Lynx, and multiple Falcons. The decision to invest in the Seaeye Falcon once again showcases the trust DISA International places in the reliability, performance, and flexibility of Saab’s systems.

Jon Robertson, Managing Director at Saab Seaeye, commented on the milestone, stating, “Delivering our 600th Falcon to a long-term partner like DISA International is a fitting achievement for the manufacturing of British-designed and built subsea vehicles. The Falcon’s compact size, ease of setup, and rapid mobilization capabilities make it the go-to vehicle for operations from smaller vessels.”

Didier De Graaff, Managing Director at DISA International, added, “We have always been very satisfied with the performance of the Falcon. Its versatility and reliability make it an essential tool for our inspection and survey operations.”

With the delivery of the 600th Seaeye Falcon, Saab UK continues to demonstrate its commitment to providing cutting-edge subsea technology to support the evolving needs of the offshore industry. The collaboration between Saab and DISA International highlights the importance of reliable ROVs in ensuring efficient and effective subsea operations.
