The Sea Tow Foundation Wins A100 CommImpact Award for Best Event Promotion

The Sea Tow Foundation™ has been honored with the A100 CommImpact Award for Best Event Promotion. This prestigious accolade, presented by The Association 100 and OnWrd & UpWrd, recognizes the Foundation’s successful promotion of its Life Jacket Loaner Conference.

The award-winning entry showcased the Sea Tow Foundation’s Life Jacket Loaner Conference, which took place virtually in March 2024. The conference brought together hosts of life jacket loaner stations from over 40 states and territories to exchange valuable resources, encourage collaboration, and strengthen the program’s nationwide community. The primary objective was to equip attendees with the tools and knowledge needed to enhance their local initiatives, aligning with the Foundation’s mission of enhancing boater safety. The event promotion involved a nationally-distributed press release, targeted social media campaigns, email invitations, and personalized gifts for registrants, resulting in a remarkable turnout and meaningful engagement.

“This award showcases the Sea Tow Foundation’s unwavering dedication to our flagship Life Jacket Loaner Program,” stated Gail R. Kulp, Executive Director. “It underscores our commitment to providing free life jackets for boaters to ensure their safety on the water.”

“We are delighted to acknowledge the Sea Tow Foundation for their outstanding achievements in Event Promotion,” said Colleen Gallagher, President and CEO of OnWrd & UpWrd Marketing and Communications and Publisher of The Association 100. “Their commitment and innovative strategies have set a high standard for excellence, serving as an inspiration to the entire association community.”

The Sea Tow Foundation’s Life Jacket Loaner Program is the largest of its kind, with over 1,300 stations located across all 56 U.S. states and territories. These stations offer a variety of life jacket sizes, ranging from infant to adult extra-large, available for boaters to borrow at no cost, ensuring everyone has access to essential safety equipment. Since its inception in 2008, the program has distributed over 100,000 life jackets, significantly contributing to the enhancement of boating safety nationwide.
