Sea1 Offshore Orders Two More Offshore Energy Support Vessels

Sea1 Offshore, formerly known as Siem Offshore, has recently placed an order for two additional offshore energy support vessels from Cosco Shipping. These new vessels are set to expand Sea1 Offshore’s fleet and enhance its capabilities in servicing both the oil and gas, as well as the renewable energy markets.

The design of these two new vessels is based on a similar concept as the first two vessels that Sea1 Offshore ordered from the same shipyard back in November 2024. The vessels are expected to be delivered between the third quarter and fourth quarter of 2027.

With an overall length of 120 meters, a spacious cargo deck area of 1,400 square meters, accommodation for up to 120 personnel, an ROV hangar, moonpool, and equipped with a 250-ton crane, these vessels are designed to handle a variety of offshore tasks efficiently.

One of the key features of these vessels is their readiness for methanol, with generators that can run on 100% biofuel. Sea1 Offshore has emphasized the vessels’ fuel efficiency, incorporating cutting-edge technology such as generators, battery packages, and thruster configurations that are optimized for maximum energy efficiency.

Sea1 Offshore’s commitment to sustainability is evident in the design and operation of these vessels, as they strive to minimize their environmental impact while delivering top-notch services to the offshore energy industry.

With these new additions to their fleet, Sea1 Offshore is poised to strengthen its position in the offshore energy support sector and continue providing reliable and efficient services to their clients.
