Seatrium Delivers Petrobras 78 FPSO to Brazil

Seatrium, a leading provider of floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) units, has announced the imminent delivery of Petrobras 78 (P-78) to Petrobras, Brazil’s state-owned oil company.

The sailaway ceremony for the P-78 took place at Seatrium’s Singapore yard two weeks ago. Once delivered, the FPSO will be deployed in Brazil’s Buzios field, the world’s largest deepwater oil field, with impressive production and storage capacities.

With a production capacity of 180,000 barrels of oil per day and 7.2 million cubic meters of gas per day, the P-78 will be a significant asset in Petrobras’ operations. Additionally, it boasts a storage capacity of 2 million barrels of oil, making it one of the largest FPSOs in the global fleet.

Seatrium’s One Global Delivery Model has enabled the company to collaborate with industry leaders for project execution worldwide. Leveraging its global footprint, Seatrium has transcended geographic boundaries to deliver top-notch projects like the P-78 FPSO.

The topside modules for the P-78, weighing an impressive 54,000 MT, were fabricated by Seatrium’s global teams across shipyards in Singapore, China, and Brazil. The integration and commissioning works were carried out in Singapore, showcasing Seatrium’s commitment to quality and efficiency.

By engaging Brazilian shipyards for a significant portion of the project work, Seatrium has contributed to local content development, workforce training, and skills enhancement in Brazil. This approach aligns with the company’s dedication to fostering growth and sustainability in the regions where it operates.

Seatrium has a proven track record of delivering essential projects for Brazil and Petrobras, including FPSOs, floating production units, floating storage regasification units, drilling rigs, and accommodation vessels. The company’s expertise and dedication to excellence have solidified its position as a trusted partner in the oil and gas industry.
