Norwegian Offshore Supply Vessel Operator DOF Group Secures Major SURF Project Offshore Africa

Norwegian offshore supply vessel operator DOF Group has announced that it has secured a significant subsea umbilical, riser, and flowline (SURF) project for an undisclosed energy company operating offshore Africa. The contract, described as ‘very large’ by DOF, will involve the installation of flexible flowlines, risers, cables, and associated subsea structures, as well as the installation of a floating production unit on behalf of the client.

The project, scheduled for offshore execution in the second half of 2025, is expected to utilize a fleet of six DOF vessels and require more than 450 vessel days to complete. DOF Group defines a ‘very large’ contract as having a value between $100 million and $200 million.

DOF Group’s CEO, Mons Aase, expressed the company’s satisfaction with the award, stating, “This contract further demonstrates the confidence energy companies have in DOF to fast-track, manage, and execute large-scale marine operations for the installation of critical production infrastructure. We are delighted with this award and eagerly anticipate the opportunity to deliver on this project.”

DOF Group will provide a comprehensive range of services for the project, including project management, engineering, logistical support, and execution services. The company’s expertise in offshore operations and commitment to delivering high-quality results are key factors in securing projects of this scale and importance.

This latest contract reinforces DOF Group’s position as a trusted partner for energy companies seeking reliable and efficient solutions for their offshore projects. With a proven track record of successful project delivery and a strong focus on safety and quality, DOF Group continues to be a leading player in the offshore supply vessel industry.
