SLB Launches Electris Completions Technology for Enhanced Reservoir Management

Global energy technology company SLB has introduced Electris, a cutting-edge portfolio of digitally enabled electric well completions technologies designed to optimize production and recovery while reducing overall asset ownership costs.

Digitalized Well Control

Electris completions revolutionize reservoir management by digitalizing control of the entire productive area of the wellbore, providing real-time production intelligence across the reservoir. This innovative approach empowers operators to predict, adapt, and respond confidently to dynamic production conditions, ultimately enhancing reservoir management throughout the well’s lifespan and unlocking previously untapped reserves.

“Electris completions elevate reservoir management to new heights, enabling operators to maximize asset output with fewer costly interventions. As the industry faces increasingly complex reservoirs, Electris technology offers a game-changing solution to optimize production economics and maximize ROI,” stated Paul Sims, President of Production Systems at SLB.

Proven Success

With over 100 installations in five countries, Electris completions have demonstrated their effectiveness in enhancing oil production and reservoir management. In Norway, Electris completions were deployed offshore in an extended-reach well to improve oil production. By leveraging insights from the system, the operator can identify contributing zones, optimize oil output, and minimize produced water.

Furthermore, the implementation of Electris completions has led to a significant reduction in energy consumption for lifting and pumping treated water back into the reservoir, showcasing the technology’s efficiency and environmental benefits.

SLB’s Electris completions technology represents a significant advancement in reservoir management, offering operators a comprehensive solution to maximize production, enhance recovery rates, and optimize asset performance. With its proven track record and innovative capabilities, Electris is set to transform the future of well completions and reservoir management in the energy industry.
