Norwegian Offshore Vessel Operator Secures Petrobras Contracts

Norwegian offshore vessel operator Solstad Offshore has announced that its two Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessels, Normand Sigma and Normand Sirius, have received approvals for work offshore Brazil with Petrobras.

In April, Solstad Offshore revealed that the two AHTS vessels had secured contracts with Petrobras, pending board approvals. These approvals have now been obtained, and both vessels have been allocated to the contracts.

The contracts are set to commence in the first quarter of 2026 and have a duration of four years each. The combined gross value of the contracts amounts to approximately $210 million.

Under the terms of the agreements, the vessels will operate on bareboat contracts from SOMA to SOFF, the contract holder with Petrobras. Solstad Offshore, which holds a 27.3% stake in Solstad Maritime, will oversee the operations of the vessels.

This development marks a significant milestone for Solstad Offshore, reinforcing its position in the offshore vessel market and further solidifying its partnership with Petrobras.

With a proven track record of delivering high-quality services and a commitment to safety and efficiency, Solstad Offshore is well-equipped to meet the demands of the offshore industry and provide reliable support to its clients.

As the global offshore sector continues to evolve, Solstad Offshore remains at the forefront, leveraging its expertise and resources to drive innovation and excellence in the industry.

By securing these contracts with Petrobras, Solstad Offshore has demonstrated its ability to adapt to the changing market dynamics and deliver value to its stakeholders.
