Solstad Offshore Secures Charter Contract with Petrobras

Norwegian vessel owner Solstad Offshore has recently inked a significant deal with Brazilian state-owned oil and gas giant Petrobras for the charter of an Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessel.

The contract pertains to the 2007-built anchor handler vessel named Normand Turquesa, and it was awarded to Solstad Offshore in early May. The agreement, valued at approximately $84 million, is set to commence in February 2026 with a duration of four years.

In anticipation of the new contract, the vessel has also been granted a nine-month extension to its current charter, ensuring its full commitment until February 2030.
