Solstad Offshore Secures Three-Year Contract for Normand Frontier

Norwegian offshore vessel owner Solstad Offshore has recently announced a significant milestone in the form of a three-year contract for its construction support vessel, the Normand Frontier. The contract, awarded by an international contractor, is set to commence immediately and will keep the Normand Frontier fully engaged until the end of 2027.

While specific details regarding the client and contract value remain undisclosed, it has been revealed that the Normand Frontier will be utilized to support the client’s operations on a global scale. This underscores the vessel’s versatility and capability to meet the demanding requirements of offshore projects worldwide.

As part of the charter agreement, Solstad Offshore, in collaboration with Omega Subsea, will provide two state-of-the-art work class ROVs (WROVs) along with comprehensive manning, tooling, survey services, and project personnel. This partnership highlights Solstad’s commitment to delivering integrated solutions that enhance operational efficiency and client satisfaction.

The Normand Frontier, a key asset in Solstad’s fleet, is owned by Solstad Maritime Holding, with Solstad Offshore holding a significant stake of 27.3%. The vessel, constructed in 2014, boasts impressive dimensions, measuring 121 meters in length and offering accommodation for up to 100 personnel on board.

This latest contract win not only underscores Solstad Offshore’s strong market position and operational excellence but also reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to providing innovative and reliable offshore support services. With the Normand Frontier set to play a pivotal role in supporting diverse offshore projects over the next three years, Solstad Offshore is well-positioned to capitalize on emerging opportunities and deliver value to its clients.
