Sonardyne Receives King’s Award for Enterprise

Sonardyne International Ltd is proud to announce that it has been honored with a pair of King’s Awards for Enterprise in 2025.

Being among the select few companies in the UK to receive this prestigious recognition, Sonardyne is thrilled to be acknowledged for its excellence in both Sustainable Development and International Trade. Managing Director Graham Brown expressed his delight at the achievement, highlighting the company’s commitment to sustainable growth and responsible business practices.

Recognition for Sustainable Practices

The King’s Award for Sustainable Development was bestowed upon Sonardyne in recognition of its dedication to implementing sustainable practices across its operations and encouraging its partners and suppliers to follow suit. The company successfully achieved its goal of carbon neutrality in its UK facilities by the end of 2023, underscoring its commitment to environmental stewardship.

International Trade Success

Additionally, Sonardyne was honored with the King’s Award for International Trade, acknowledging its significant growth in overseas sales over the past three years. With an impressive 83% increase in direct exports within the energy, defense, and ocean science sectors, Sonardyne’s global footprint has expanded substantially. The company’s international growth has been supported by its operations in the UK, USA, Singapore, Brazil, and the recent opening of an office in Germany in 2025.

Having previously received Queen’s Awards for Innovation in 2014 and 2021, Sonardyne continues to be recognized for its commitment to excellence and innovation in the maritime industry.
