Revolutionizing Subsea Transportation: Strohm and UNITECH Offshore Collaborate on Integrated System

Thermoplastic composite pipe (TCP) manufacturer Strohm and subsea connection systems provider UNITECH Offshore have joined forces in a groundbreaking collaboration. The two companies have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop and commercialize an integrated system for the transportation of fluids and gases, heralding a new era in subsea connectivity.

The primary focus of this collaboration is the creation of a subsea, end-to-end jumper connection solution without flanges. This innovative approach not only reduces the risk of leaks but also simplifies the installation process significantly. By integrating UNITECH’s connector with Strohm’s TCP end-fitting, a flange-less interface is achieved, ensuring seamless performance in even the most challenging conditions.

Martin van Onna, CEO of Strohm, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “By joining forces with UNITECH Offshore, we develop an integrated system that not only simplifies installation but also ensures long-lasting flange-less performance in the most demanding environments. This collaboration underscores our commitment to advancing subsea connectivity with engineered simplicity.”

Frode Hellesøe, CEO of UNITECH Offshore, highlighted the benefits of the collaboration, saying, “By integrating our robust, installation-friendly UH-500 Series connector with Strohm’s thermoplastic composite pipe, we are providing a seamless, flange-less system that enhances installation efficiency while ensuring reliable, high-pressure performance across a wide range of subsea applications.”

The joint efforts of Strohm and UNITECH Offshore are set to revolutionize subsea transportation, setting a new standard for efficiency, reliability, and performance in the industry. This integrated system represents a significant leap forward in subsea connectivity technology, showcasing the power of collaboration and innovation in driving progress within the maritime sector.
