Technip Energies Secures Contract for FLNG Unit Offshore Africa

French-based engineering company Technip Energies has won a contract to perform early-stage work relating to a floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) unit offshore Africa.

The contract, effective until September 30, 2025, covers preliminary activities with the potential for additional order intake in the future.

While the client remains unnamed, Technip Energies has labeled the deal as “large,” indicating a contract value between €250 million to €500 million.

With a proven track record of delivering FLNG units globally, including projects like PFLNG SATU in Malaysia, Prelude in Australia, and Coral Sul in Mozambique, Technip Energies solidifies its position as a leader in the FLNG sector.

Recent Projects and Collaborations

Aside from the FLNG unit contract, Technip Energies has been actively involved in other significant projects. In late May, the company was selected by ETYFA to oversee the LNG import terminal project in Vassilikos, Cyprus.

Prior to that, Technip Energies partnered with India’s Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T) for a detailed engineering design contract related to the North Field Production Sustainability Offshore Compression Project (NFPS COMP 4) offshore Qatar.

These collaborations underscore Technip Energies’ expertise and reputation in the global energy industry, showcasing its ability to handle complex projects across different regions.

As the company continues to expand its portfolio and take on new challenges, its commitment to innovation and excellence remains unwavering.
